Clos Lachance Estate Grown Zinfandel

Buff-bellied. Thank you for choosing Clos LaChance's Buff-Bellied Zinfandel. The Hummingbird has been a part of Clos LaChance lore since the first vintage in 1992. Vintners celebrate the hummingbird, given its territorial natural and ability to chase away other grape-eating birds. Buff-Bellied Hummingbirds, one of nearly 20 US species, live in costal regions and tend to nest in bushes low to the ground (much like our gnarly head-trained Zinfandel vines). Winemaker Stephen Tebb has created a wine loaded with bramble berry and spicy raspberry flavors. Soft tannins and spicy black pepper round out the finish nicely. Buff-Bellied Zinfandel will pair nicely with BBQ, meatloaf, pizza and cold nights.
